  1. The crop tool, in my opinion, is cumbersome and needs lots of work as it exist today and I just installed the latest update. Unless, I'm missing something. I want to be able to open an image, lets say, it is 12x8". I then want to crop an area of that image to 6x4". I can select the 6x4 preset but that will only give me 1/4 of the original image. I want a much larger area of my original to be crop to a finished dimension of 6X4. Plus, even if I select the 6x4 preset and the drag the crop area out, it is no longer 6x4, there is no way to constrain the 6x4 field and yes, I have tried the other definitions, constrain, exact etc. and they are no better. I hate to keep comparing but, this is what you are up against, the crop tool in PS and camera raw is how this should operate. Simple and quick. contained crop area and resampling in one step.
  2. Yes, you can change the dpi in documents. I'm relating to PS where the crop tool can also resample to a given dpi. Even so, I can't even get the crop tool to work in any form. Lets say I do change document to 300 dpi and now have an image that is 12x8" at 300 dpi. Now I want to crop to an area 6x4". Technically that would 1/4 of the image BUT what I want is a larger section from somewhere in the middle. I think I already know what your response might be and yes, I know there are ways to do it but, again, I'm relating to PS and the simplicity of how this can be done in one simple step.
  3. I hope it isn't too long before the crop tool becomes fully functional. Without it, I'm just playing around with the program. For the most part I like what I see BUT please get the crop tool working. I need to be able to set a pre-set and drag out the window knowing the end result will be what I set. For example 6"x4" at 300 DPI. Will you be adding the dpi to this tool? Right now I can set it for absolute dimension 6"x4" but at what dpi. Then when I drag the window it is anything but 6x4. Huh?
