  1. can anybody agree, that he has the same behavior?
  2. For a band-shooting, I masked the band members, to work on them separatly than the background of that picture. I put a lot of work in creating that mask. When I save and reopen the file, I double-click the mask and say "refine mask". The "selcetion refinement"-dialogue pops up and shows via preset "10 % edge width". OK, no problem, I don't need that "halo" around my selection, I reduce it back to zero. BUT: the halo-effect stays, my mask edges are destroyed and are not as before. So I am not able, to refine a mask (example given: to feather the edges), after saving. I tried this with several pictures and masks: allways the same behavior, the preset is destroying my mask-edges! There are ugly elements staying at the edges even after reducing the edge-width. Example: Look at the t-shirt of the right guy at the lower right side. There was a clear, clean edge before using "Mask refinement".
  3. Excuse me, but the driver support is not the reason: even IrfanView supports to import a picture from a scanner, in all windows versions. So the truth is, that serif is not able to do that.
  4. Hi there, if the general spread property is in horizontal mode, and I want to change a single spread in another (vertical) mode, I've to click "portrait". The function works, but "portrait" is wrong, if I had protrait-format before. Better: "90-degree-change" or something like that? I like publisher and hope, that you'll sell it not too expensive :-) And I would like to see web capabilities inside...
  5. Hi there, well, the beta seems in a good condition and works well. I imported my CV from pdf and that works really great. What I missed in this case: import from doc oder odf: I think, it's a common task, so work with heavy documents much easier in a DTP tool. Next what I think would be fine: set the rulers and magnet tool on by default. I had some irritating issues inside of large text boxes with a text inside, which breaks to early to another row, an needed some time, to figure out, why. The magnet tool should work without any grid, but by default snap in a row with the next element, if magnet is on. Great: the aspect ratio stays by default! What I really miss: I want to put different spacing between single rows inside a textbox. I only find out, how to configure it different for the whole textbox or different from the first row, but not e. g. to put the 6th and 7th row in another spacing than the rest, inside the same textbox. Great: easiness of putting pages in a different order. Nice and easy UI. Hope, that will get some web capabilities?
  6. 1.) What I've done 2.) What was the result 3.) What did I expect 1.) I imported my CV from PDF to Publisher. It contains some graphical elements as well as text. 2.) the import was great, the elements are put in there as different layers. But if I ticked a layer with a graphical element, sometimes it highlighted the element on the workboard, sometimes it didn't. 3.) If I choose a layer, it must highlight the containing elements reliable. Because its a cv with an application, I can not upload this document to public. If interested, I send this to serif only.
