  1. Bricked early-July, not June (above comment). Sorry+thanks.
  2. A belated update and thank you to Patrick for his time. In short, Publisher runs fine on Surface Go. My hardware bricked early-June with the blue screen of death. One replacement later, between UK+Germany, and all sorted. First impressions of Publisher on a small, under-powered PC are positive. Early days, but Publisher runs fine. Yep, not good enough for a primary machine, but handy when it's a second device.
  3. Hello Patrick and Sam, thank you for your help. It is appreciated. Sadly, I took the Go out of S mode almost immediately and have bought Publisher, and Photo, from the Microsoft store. Designer was the first purchase, this time direct from Affinity. I really don't want to wipe the machine, but I fear I'm running out of options. Any other ideas received gratefully. PS Anyone reading this and considering buying Publisher: I would still highly recommend it. Runs like a dream on the desktop and I am enjoying my initial efforts.
  4. Bought Publisher for a desktop and, as a secondary machine, Surface Go 8gb. Runs great on desktop but will not open on Go, instead rebooting the machine after a few seconds of seemingly starting the program. Any ideas, please? It's no deal-breaker, but I would like to use it for light use while out+about, on long train journeys, etc.
  5. Hello Ian, thank you. That is exactly what I was wondering and what you describe sounds like a reasonable compromise. I'm really taken by the Go's form and the ability to do light work on Photo (maybe Designer and Publisher too) while travelling between work makes it ideal. The desktop can do the more voluble stuff. My old MacBook is feeling really slow and heavy to carry...
  6. Thank you Ian and Patrick, this is exactly what I'm considering. If anyone else has any experience of using Designer, Photo or Publisher Beta on the 8gb Surface Go I'd really be interested to hear it. Ditto, if anyone else at at Serif Towers has any thoughts on how it handles their apps, I'd really appreciate hearing them. I really fancy the Go's smaller, lighter form, and having full Windows 10, while working on the hoof. It's the Go's Intel Pentium Gold processor that makes me wary it can handle moderate use of the three apps. I will leave the heavier stuff for the more powerful desktop.
