I was trying that with a PSD file. A TIF file worked fine. A JPG file worked fine. It will place the PSD which is awesome, I just can't add a stroke. What will the file cross-compatibility between InDesign, Photoshop and Publisher ultimately be? Thanks!

When I select an object and add a stroke nothing displays despite the fact that I can change color, size, etc. I suppose this will be fully functional in a future release, but just wanted to point this out in case it was missed. One other thing I'd like is an option to link / unlink the bleed settings in document setup so that I only have to enter my bleed amount once and it will automatically set it as the same for all four sides, with an option to still set them individually as well. Thanks!
