    No eliptical Marquee

Hi Chris! Greetings to you and thank you so much for responding to my thread sir! Yes, when I selected the circular marquee and hovered my mouse cursor over the area I wanted to draw the elliptical over, the rectangular dotted line (as seen in the attached image above) would appear and it would move WITH my mouse cursor. I've been using Photoshop since CS2 (long time) so I'm fairly confident that I know what I was doing. I've never seen anything like this happen before and since I am trying to make the transition to your software (Adobe's business model is anti-consumer in my opinion) I wanted to share this awesome bug with you. Since your program started to behave I've long since passed the opportunity to recapture that particular image. That image was the first one I had tried with this program, maybe there's something to be gleaned by that? Cheers!

    No eliptical Marquee

Alright, I made the change I needed in Photoshop. I really like Affinity Photo so I tried my next image (all specs on the file are the same as the one above) and tried the marquee tool.... this time it worked. Im happy but sad too at the same time. I wont give up on you Affinity! Just help make sure you can understand what went wrong so this doesnt happen anymore... please.

    No eliptical Marquee

Hello, I am very new to Affinity Photo version 1.6.5.123 and I am coming from Photoshop on Windows 7 Ultimate 64. I am trying to select an elliptical portion of my photo and every time I try, I receive a non-adjustable rectangle even though I have elliptical selected. To say this is frustrating would be an understatement. Note, due to the marquee tool not working for me I was forced to use Photoshop for the attached screen shot :-( Thank you in advance for any help with this.
