  1. Hi, I’ve been looking into an issue with parsing SVG files exported from Affinity Designer and have noticed that the ‘defs’ element is consistently exported after the referencing elements. While many SVG parsers assume order independence, it is considered best practice to write the ‘defs’ element before the referencing elements are described in 5.3.2 The ‘defs’ element as follows: “To provide some SVG user agents with an opportunity to implement efficient implementations in streaming environments, creators of SVG content are encouraged to place all elements which are targets of local IRI references within a ‘defs’ element which is a direct child of one of the ancestors of the referencing element.” Could you please let me know if plan to update your SVG export to incorporate this recommendation in a future release? Many thanks, Derek testwithgradient.svg
