Is there a way of changing a solid line into a dotted line with a single click? I'm making a technical drawing that has many elements and there are lots of solid lines that need to be dotted lines. So far I've been using the shift key to multi-select and then going back and forth to the stroke panel to select the dotted line option, which takes ages. I can't select them as a group as there are so many elements that I don't want to change. I've looked in the help section and the search function but found nothing. Thanks.

I'm trying to trace a shape using the pen tool and layers. It works, but is there a tool that will help me follow the line more accurately as it's quite jerky at the moment.

I'm trying to edit a shape I created with the pen tool. The node tool used to be under the move arrow but now it's the artboard tool in it's place.

If I wanted, for example, to create a brick wall from a single rectangle or a title block for a technical drawing. I used to use the replicate function in Drawplus 8. How do I do this in Affinity Designer?

How do I create a title block for my technical drawings? I used to make them in Drawplus 8 but can't use my library/assets from DP8 in AD. Also, I've been trying out the frame text tool, how do I reduce the size of the gap between lines of text?

I use AF for 2D line drawings, nothing complicated and I don't use layers. I can't find the eraser tool. It's not in the toolbar or customise toolbar. Any help would be appreciated.

Sorry for my delayed response. I have attached a file of a work in progress drawing. Some of the drawing elements were imported into Assets from Drawplus 5. holme farm.afdesign

I'm using AD for basic 2 D garden designs and it has been pretty good so far. Mostly using the pen tool, shapes tool and creating assets. The problem I'm having is clicking to select certain items to move or resize them. Some things will be selected, others not. I can drag to select but this is difficult with many small items close together. With the items that are not 'clickable' it is possible to drag and select them. I haven't been using layers but I can see every item is in layers automatically so I tried clicking Edit all layers which had no effect. The problem seems quite random and sometimes when I click on an object or line something else will be selected. What am I doing wrong?

I've just upgraded from DP5 to AD and want to use it for basic 2D garden plans like I did with DP 5. I used to create design elements, trees and shrubs etc, then drag and drop them into the gallery to be used again in other drawings. Can this still be done in AD, and what's it called?
