  1. Me too - working on a large 60 page book with loads of photos in it. Every time I try to print it out, just crashes. Have tried it on my iMacs a, 2019 27" and a 2017 21.5", also my MacBook air. Can work around by producing a PDF file, but would prefer to print out directly from the programme. John
  2. Thank you so much for that - its so easy when you know how. Brilliant just done an A4 and A5 with bleed. Thanks again.
  3. This is what I am trying to describe. This is an example of a 105 x 148.5mm card. When an Illustrator page is exported as PDF with bleed added, the cut marks remain at the finished size, where as when I export a page from AFD the cut marks move to the extent of the bleed. I find this makes it much harder to cut a job down to a true finished size. AFD.pdf Illustrator.pdf

  8. I don't know if I am missing something here, but when I print or export a file with bleed the crop marks only appear on the full bleed size not the finished print area as my printer demands. He wants to be able to guillotine to the perfect size after printing. In InDesign both sets of marks can be added - full bleed area and final cut down size. If anyone could help that would be much appreciated or maybe this system to be added to a future update if I haven't missed the point.
  9. Just tested both printers and both HP Mono Laser HP 400MFP and HP Colour Laser M750 both print as grey.
  10. stokerg Thanks for your help, have attached my test files, which when page setup is set to Print (for press) and I am using CMYK colour palette print out grey on both my HP mono laser and colour HP laser jet M750 come out as grey, have also attached both an afd file and a PDF. Am i just being thick, or just missing the point. BTW if I set page set up to Black and White of course that is no good for pre-press. I am worried that a black appearing on afd will not profuse a solid black on a 4 colour print press. Best regards John Black Test.afdesign Black Test.pdf
  11. I am new to Affinity products, migrating over from Illustrator. When I colour text as 100% black and it appears black on screen, but when I try to print it out it comes out as grey. Also applies to imported PDF files (ex Illustrator). This is happening with both my Apple Mac computers and also on both an HP laser and an Epson inkjet. Am I being stupid over something small or can anyone give me an idea what I am doing wrong. Thanks in advance.
