  1. Yes I am a Mac user. I've created my folder as follows, rodneybrown\Affinity Completed Tuts. I assume the rodneybrown corresponds to what would be the C: drive on a PC. I have tried saving other files from Affinity Photo to this same folder and have had no problems. It's only when I try to save the tutorial files that I have modified that I have a problem. I bought this workbook from Amazon USA. As far as I know, my copy of Affinity Photos is registered. I bought it through the App Store and created an account with Affinity.
  2. I'm trying to open the practice files for the tutorial, "Search the Woods" by Bodo Bertuleit. When I try to open the files I am told that I don't have permission to open these files. I've had the same problem with some of the other tutorials in the workbook. But, if I tried enough times they eventually opened. Not so with these files. Also, I set up a practice document from this same tutorial. I created a practice folder on my hard drive. When I tried to save the practice document, I was told that I didn't have permission to save here. It's my @#$%! computer. What's going on?
  3. RC-R, MEB Thank you both for your replies. What I meant by "marked" is that the context tool bar in Affinity Photo shows the file as RAW or RGB, etc. I was shooting my photos in RAW+JPEG. I guess since Apple Photos displays the JPEG first, whenever I tried to open a file in Affinity Photos, I was getting the JPEG. I tried MEB's suggestion for loading the RAW file and that worked great. I would prefer to be able to open the RAW files directly from Affinity. So, I guess I'll have to figure a way to separate the RAW from the JPEG before I upload them to Apple Photos. Apple Photos seems a little combersome to me. I'd prefer to avoid Adobe products because I don't like subscriptions. Hopefully Affinity or someone will come out with a file management system. Again, thank you both for the help
  4. I have the iPad and the Mac version of Affinity Photo. When I open a RAW file from Photos on the iPad the file is clearly marked as a RAW file. When I open the same file on the Mac, the file is marked as an RGB. When I open a RAW tutorial file from Serif on my Mac it is clearly marked as RAW. When I access Photos (Apple) through Affinity Photos on my iPad, the RAW files are marked as such. When I access Photos (Apple) through Affinity Photo on my Mac, none of the files are marked as RAW or JPEG. Am I doing something wrong (aside from using Apple Photos)? Is there a way to differentiate file types when opening in Affinity Photo for Mac?
  5. I just bought Affinity Photo for IPad. I have the latest version of IOS 11 on an IPad Pro. I can’t seem to get Affinity Photo to work in split view. The description in the App Store says that it supports drag and drop. How is this possible without split view. Split view works with most of the other programs I use.
