I love Affinity Photo, so powerful... I will mainly use it for processing astronomical images... I am starting in this hobby, since I am an amateur astronomer for nearly 25 years...
Some features in AP are very useful for astronomical image processing, like HighPass, but some like Sigma clipping, Gradient reduction and DBE - Dynamic Background extraction - would make you app very attractive to amateur astronomers. Astronomical image processing is very specific and tools like those mentioned before are essential to achieve good rendering. These days THE program for post processing is PixInsight...surpassing Adobe PS... Any app that would near Pixinsight would be much appreciated by the community... and open for AF a new user segment...
