  1. Info panel: ability to adjust sampling area of markers for the info tools. The cross hairs seem to select one pixel and one pixel only. Allow the cross hairs to capture an average like the color picker tool does. This is to be adjustable. Selection border has a width that needs to be removed. When areas are selected in a layer, the width of the selection has a thickness. That little dotted line, seems to have a thickness that recorded with selecting and separating subject rom background. All adjustment layers must have a toggle for fine adjustment. Some time the adjustment bar is too sensitive for the minuscule adjustments that I want to make. Make a toggle switch to cut the adjustment to 25% movement on the adjustment. Reset in HSL should only pertain to each color selection including the master. And or, a total reset or color reset selector. Gradient tool: This tool needs to gain some control when selected. Layers that used the gradient tool loose the tools position once the layer is clicked off. That position needs to be available all the time. I use the gradient tool often when balancing images from one side to the other and making custom vignettes. I need to go back into this layer and adjust the position of the gradient without having to rebuild the gradient from scratch. Maybe not an Affinity issue, only happens on Affinity Photo for me though. Sporadically the image position will suddenly shift, enlarge or reduce without cause. Brush: It’d be a great help to have a brush window that displays the shape of the current brush being used. When the brush is very small it’d be very nice to have a display at the top of the screen that displays the shape of the brush selected. The brush menu, not good enough. Layer integrity. I’ve noticed often; Separating a subject from the scene to be place on another layer, then selecting the background removing the subject (transparent background for subject on this layer). The background layer maintains remnant subject matter when background layer is blurred, Gaussian, Depth of Field, etc’. Resulting halo of removed subject.
  2. Using the latest in Affinity 1.6.6. Working on a 42mb RAW. Once converted and processing multiple layers, I'm warping a clients logo on some apparel and water-bottle. During warp or during saving the machine locks up for too long, could be hours (not going to wait and find out). I've attached a link to the images used and some screen shots. https://www.dropbox.com/sh/izgamvyarwu0p3a/AADb_0NxestNLyel63Da15W5a?dl=0
  3. Hey all! Loving and learning the latest AP software. I've run into some hurdles. 1) The tool palette has a very low contrast when tool is selected. My screen is calibrated with a Munki therefore I'd rather not shift the contrast on the screen. The preferences seem to have some sliders that suggest some kind of color contrast, however only the canvas area seems to work. I'd really like the tool to slightly enlarge and light up, it's 2017, anything can happen. This also happens around the layers section. I'd be an outstanding upgrade to make the layers, landing level, a bright color like what happens when moving layers on AP on an iPad. 2) working on an image with 5-12 layers; select one layer and make a subject selection to create a mask. One file continues to delete the layer when hitting the delete key and another file just deletes what's been selected, which is what I wanted. Program, broken? 3) Selecting a subject, deleting the content to then fill with another color; selected area gets filled, however when moving the selection there's remenents of a halo around the selected are that I must erase. How can this be corected? 4) Edges of subjects that have been Gaussian blurred get little checker marks. Shows up on my image. How do I make this, not happen? 5) I use a Wacom pad and pen. When selecting tools, the selection gets glitchy and doesn't always solidly select the tool. Think I have an eraser, AAAHAH, it's a paint brush. Need to allow some sort of delay when selecting tools. Most of my issues are inconsistencies with the program of asking for a way to speed the work flow up. Please help.

Laughably Unusable - iPad Pro 9.7”

iPad 12.9 with 256mb running latest iOS. Yes, it crashes. File size must be kept to a moderate 45mb and under. If making large adjustments or painting large areas, plan on crashing. Limit your canvas size to 5000X8000px max. Make moderate adjustments to the image. The software doesn't manage the memory well so keep the file size small. As for the concept of the program, stellar! It's 2017, files are getting larger and we are all on location trying to get this stuff processed. Vet the software to the capacity that is allowed. If the software crashes with large files, limit the user to a safe file size.
