I went and clicked by mistake and can't remember how to get it back not sure if I have posted on right topic but if someone could help thanks so much.

Yes of course I was worried I just said side tools I meant studio panels will know next time Walt I must of clicked one of the panels on the right came up large so just clicked the cross thinking it will come back.
I was wondering if there is going to another update for Affinity photo ?
Got the snipping tool now will try get one 🙂

Thanks Paul that's seems to have worked will try it later when I have more time although when I change the persona the missing side tools are missing again strange yes Garry I think that's what happened and it was only some of them came up big so I just closed the tool window thinking it would come back as normal will try it all later.

I went and closed the tools by accident and cant seem to get them back as in the sidebar area can someone help please.

I managed to edit 2 shots then it started again so uninstalled - uploaded older version for now.

I clicked on download new version again and gave me a option of repair or uninstall did a repair see if it works.

Yes noticed its slower geez I guess will keep checking with it on and off then but if another fix could someone let me know or I'll check back here. Thanks !!

I've disabled Hardware Acceleration seems to be okay now but do I not need that on....

Not got any 3rd party software video was ok the other day when I sharpen a shot it goes all weird can I go back to last update that seemed fine.

Getting patches on image like blocks lined coloured when trying to edit a raw image and it flickers.

Just updated to 1.8 uploaded a shot and its all dark when you try to edit to make it look okay and then finish the edit it goes too light just unusable I have had this issue before on updates can anyone help !! ?

The monitor I think have uploaded pic and it was dark again in phone shot below but while I was doing something else its corrected itself uploaded another shot and is normal now updated the Beta one now too.

Well it was the ICC profiles last time its set at sRGB IEC61966-2.1which I think is right it depends on the shot thou I'm scared to update the beta in case that's the same lol

When I upload a image it goes all dark then when you edit it and export it goes bright I have had this problem before it was fixed for a while nothing changed my end I'm sure - thanks

I have the new update but just recently when I upload a photo its all dark then when you edit and export it its over exposed can someone help with this ? !!

Help please my Affinity Photo retail one won't open after update same as Larry Dalton above can this be fixed ? Help !!!

Hi,
No I haven't put it into the retail one.
Took some shots earlier in Raw which I always use and the size is always large 5568x3712 ,20.7M I only use the crop mainly for BIF that was a distant shot I don't know if you saw the image a swallow in-flight which was poor my bit depth is always 12 I have changed to the 14 bit I had it on uncompressed though.
Will see if that makes a change I also noticed when edited to a jpeg it goes down to a 8 bit

I do use the large format in raw that image is smaller due to the crop factor on the D500 just gets me closer for birds in-flight so I know its not that.
I saw in another question the person was updating to the new beta version and putting it in the same folder I think I have been doing the same actually if I uninstalled then reinstalled do you think that would work as the last build did work.

Thinking about the file size it might be that actually I haven't any more at the moment to try - could it not be fixed to take any raw file size as I said its smaller with the crop on camera.

I deleted the ones that weren't showing or converted them to DNG files which I don't like doing but will upload a pic or screenshot next time it happens :-)
