  1. I was asking if it is faster to select subjects using Pixelmator (As compared to Affinity Photo). I understand that you are saying that subject selection is somewhat hit or miss in Pixelmator. And that was my experience too the one time that I tried. And it is too hard to learn two interfaces at the same time, let alone one for me. So I guess I will stick with Affinity and try to use Affinity more often - every time that I feel a photo is good and may need some adjusting.
  2. I am newb with Affinity, and generally only want to do simple edits where a subject is not properly lit. So the speed of subject selection is important, and I wonder if people here think that in practice this one click subject selection in Pixelmator Pro is much faster than Affinity Photo. My workflow is that photos go into Photos.app, and either at the time of downloading the photos, or after I have favorited some photos, I may want to edit the photo. And then drop into Affinity from Photos extension and then light up the subject a little better say. On the workflow front, I do not have a good way of figuring out what to do with my RAW photos - vary of moving Raw into Photos.app but may be that is the right way to do. May be I should ask that question separately here as experts here likely shoot in Raw. Comments from Affinity photo experts would be very welcome about the speed of subject selection - given that Pixelmator one touch will also likely require some brush touchups. Thank you!
  3. Thanks! That is good to know. Tested it also by reverting to original and that was possible. Should have tested to begin with
  4. Got it - sounds like it is a destructive edit when opened directly in Affinity - because that is where the Filters Menu is. Wondering if it is destructive edit even when Haze removal is applied from within Photos? Will also try it out to see if I can figure it out.
  5. So I applied Haze removal extension in a few photos in Photos.app and the result is awesome. Shame that I had not used it for two years while I had it! With that said, a question - is applying the Affinity Haze removal extension non-destructive? i.e. does Photos still have the original image or is the original image of Photos overwritten? Thank you.
