Have had the Affinity software for sometime but have not been able to figure out how to get started. For example, how can I get the photo I want to work on into the Affinity software. I realize this should be simple but I need help. Thanks

After editing an album picture I could not get it to go back into the album. The original picture remained in the album unchanged. What di I need to do to correct this. Thanks
