  1. Hi SweetP,

    Tap and hold the adjustment layer in the Layers Studio until a blue line appears then drag it over the image layer thumbnail (the thumbnail "icon" should become a solid blue while you do that). This will nest the adjustment to that specific layer, without affecting all the others.

    Hi MEB, how come this doesn't work on me?

    I have a recoulor adjustment layer. Then I want to darken the color so I added a brightness/contrast adjustment. And I set the darkness I want, but since I just want to darken the recoulor adjustment layer only I tap and hold the brightness / contrast adjustment layer then drag it to the icon of recoulor adjustment layer. After that, it merger with the recoulor adjustment layer but the brightness /contrast adjustment layer did not work, it's like it's never there

  2. Hi sambikeart,

    Welcome to Affinity Forums :)

    You can't have two images open simultaneously but you can copy from one and paste on another. To do it create your selection as usual - make sure you are working with a pixel layer type - look at the label above the layers name (in small letters, all caps) in the Layers studio. If it says Image instead of Pixel you have to convert it to a Pixel layer first. To do this tap the ellipsis icon on the top of the interface in Photo Persona and select Rasterise ▸ Rasterise. Not that you have a pixel layer and the selection created, tap the ellipsis icon (Photo Persona) and select Pasteboard ▸ Copy. Tap the <- icon to go to Affinity Photo Welcome Screen and select the image where you want to paste the copied selection to open it. Tap the ellipsis menu (Photo Persona) and select Pasteboard ▸ Paste. Your (copied) selection should be pasted on the second document as a new layer.

    @Alfred

    It works exactly like the desktop version. Image layers must be rasterised first.

    @LilleG

    Since your layer was created through the Develop Persona it's already a pixel layer, so there wasn't need to rasterise it first.

    So that's how you can copy and paste from a placed image layer...

    @MEB, can you just explain what is the reason behind why you need to Rasterise?

  3. Hi sanoy

    The first thing to do is to make your selection using one of the selection tools such as the smart selection tool.

    To get to the recolour option select the adjustment studio icon on the right hand tool bar (a square with three dots).

    Scroll down and select recolour, the adjustments are made from the context tool bar at the bottom.

    Thank you jhoy for your reply.

    I already did what you said. My problem is once I make a new selection and apply recolour, the recolour applies to the 1st selection I did although the first selection is already gone since I did a new selection.

    can you please try and if it works for you? Please let me know where did I made my mistake.
