pardon my ignorance, if a font is installed and available to system apps, why is it considered “uninstalled” to AD ?
I can create a document in Pages and use the installed Raleway font, however trying to use Raleway font in AD prefixes the font name with a ? And all font name title text is red.
How can i make user installed system fonts available to AD?

And in related news....
How do I have (too many) Pantone palettes added to my iPad version of Designer? I wouldn’t have added them manually, and I believe these palette files just ‘live’ in my iCloud Affinity Designer folder. Could custom palettes be Imported in the same manner that such Pantone palettes were imported?

So I created a logo in Affinity Designer. The doc dimensions are set to 800x600px
Now I want to export my logo file as a 32x32 .png file
i can easily crop the canvas square but when I export and change the dimensions to 32x32px it is (expectedly?) distorted. (4x3 vs. 4x4)
How would I export the cropped area in designer as. 32x32px .png file without distortion ?
thank you all in advance for your valuable help.

This is accomplished quite easily. Using the above methods will pixelate your work and it will not look as good as vector grafíx.
I do it like this:
- Select the layer you want to ’crop’
- Add a shape (rectangle if you want a straight line) with any color selected
- Move and modify the shape you added till it covers that which you want ‘masked’
- Select the entire layer that contains the image and your shape
- Change layer blend mode to ‘Erase’
I use this method a lot. Some affinity pro prolly gonna barf but it works like a champ.
Bonus tip: Use the pen tool in polygon mode instead of adding shape if you have a more complex image. Remember to create a closed figure with pen tool in order to color and change blend mode.
