But these are bug fixes, we're not really asking for new features to v1 ... I hope the devs reconsider making a final round of bug fixes for v1 before finally retiring it, the v2 release came out of the blue and it felt like future bug fixes for v1 were blocked by a paywall edit: I'm disappointed with Affinity, decided not to purchase v2 anymore.

Intel core i5 4460 3.20ghz 20g ram windows 10 pro Graphics drivers are all updated Unfortunately it will be hard NOT accidentally clicking when retouching. I clone out hundreds of dots and scratches on dozens of files, I WILL accidentally click at some point by habit, this is not a problem with photoshop so I've gotten used to it. Maybe it'll be better if all other clicks/commands are ignored when a clone is processing I don't use shift a lot, but I do use spacebar+mouse for moving around the canvas when retouching. The rest is just click or drag+click for taking out scratches

For larger files and with cpu struggling, drawing a small line can sometimes trigger the app to draw huge lines like this. Normally I'd let it do it's thing, do the healing, then undo. But if you make one tiny mistake of clicking elsewhere on the app, it'll stop responding and be forced close the app. I'm working with 50 files today and still encountering this issue a dozen times already, I used to tolerate it but enough is enough so I'm posting this now. What can be done about this? Is this a known issue?

thanks for helping but unfortunately these are very tiny instruments that's absolutely necessary to zoom in. Plus there are so many points that re-adjusting would just make things longer to do. I tried doing my own way again but angled my lines towards the direction of the edge, it seems to work better Desktop 2021.10.10 - 18.04.25.02.mp4

I am still trying to get used to the pen tool here, at 0 to 0:15secs you can see my normal workflow. It's faster but not the smoothest lines. Moving on to the video I tried dragging the pen tool some more to get more smoother curves but I always have to make so many minute adjustments because many times if I drag the control thingies it ends up dragging the other ones.. so I now have to convert that point to a smart one.. but it's all just endless adjustments. It gets really bad when I drag a reallly long one and then the next point ends up also being dragged by the previous. Anyone has any tips or techniques for a more efficient outlining with the pen tool? Desktop 2021.10.10 - 04.46.07.01.mp4

I need to extract these to a transparent layer using pen tool but I made a mistake and didn't realise I created two sets of curves.. one for the left and then one on the right. I've love to learn how to merge my curves into one , or maybe some way to join the selection of both ... I keep getting some vague results at google

@ carl : yeah that can work thank you @ app : I click generate and there's only one strangely floating preview and only changes when i click the mouse or scroll wheel. tbh im not sure I like this workflow.. if it does work that'd mean I'll have to export the photo, open the app, navigate my labyrinth of folders to generate the previews

Biggest problem for me is I keep forgetting what each LUT looks like and it also varies per photo I choose so I have to keep loading luts over and over 'til I see what I like which is very time consuming ... I've tried to do some macros but there is just too many LUTs that it fills up the library ... is there a faster way to preview this ? how about other apps outside of affinity?

That's odd, at first your suggestion didn't work ... If I use any grey/black layers it gives me an empty mask. But if I use any other color or white, your suggestion works fine. I wonder if this feature is by design(?) I had to do a workaround by Inverting that shading layer to white values ... now it works : )
