  1. I also took some Portrait pictures with my Nikon Z8 and observed the same a bug as described here: Why is there no progress with HIF files?
  2. An update: I applied from the Nikon Website the 3DLUT for the Z8 and good results. So my question is now: Why do I have to apply the lookup table for HIF Files? There should at least be a pop up telling me to do so (like in gimp, for example which does it automatically).
  3. @Lee D Hi, I have attached now two screen shots, to make it more clear: 1) the Mac OS Preview shows the information of the .HIF File 2) Affinity Photo's view on it. As said before: I see two main differences: The Color Model is 10 Bit in MacOS (which is correct as it is in my Nikon Z8). Affinity Photo says 32 bit which is wrong. Also the color model is wrong: Nikon and Mac OS say: BT.2100 HLG but Affinity Photos says: RGBA/32 (HDR) - sRGB IEC61966-2.1 (Linear) Do you have an update for me? Currently the combination Affinity Photo and HIF images is not working for me.
  4. Here we go: Take this example. To reproduce: Check it with Preview of MacOS (I have a MacBookPro 14 inch M1) then open it with AP 2.4 (same on iPad). You see a low contrast file as described. DSC_0015-1.HIF
  5. Hi, opening a HIF Photo from my Nikon Z8 give only very low contrast image. I use Affinity Photo 2.4 on macOS Sonoma. To get sufficient results I need to adjust white level (from 100% to 65%) and gamma (from 1 to 1.5). Affinity Photo describes the picture as RGBA/32 - SRGB IEC61966-2.1 (Linear) . However it is only RGB/10 and I guess its log (not linear). I assume a bug in Affinity Photo here while importing the 10Bit RGB HLG HIF file. It looks the color profile is wrong interpreted. In contrast opening the same picture with Gimp (after importing I get: Convert to RGB Working Space? From BT.2020 to GIMP build-in sRGB.) I get a correct result. Additionally in the build in preview of MacOS is see also a correct representation of the HIF file. Is this a known bug? Or miss I something? Addition: Same result on my iPad with AP 2.4

  7. Hallo, I am the owner of the X-T2 and just purchased Affinitiy Photo which I like a lot. I would like to see native support of compressed .RAF files of the X-T2 as well.
