Recently I have experienced similar problems in printing (Epson SC-P600) from Affinity Photo 1.4 (and Photoshop CS6) after upgrading to macOS Sierra. The problem is probably related to the printer drivers (OS X EI Capitan) as indicated on this page (I could not find a similar page from Epson) https://support.usa.canon.com/kb/index?page=content&id=ART166610 The workaround works for me as well as saving a TIFF file and printing from Preview. I hope it helps.
