  1. That's why I duplicated the ticket, hopefully they will get sick of me and fix it. How is "alt+drag a layer to duplicate it" more important than this? I know the team is working hard, but they don't really listen. They add things that no one have asked for, but they rarely add things that we request. It was 6 months ago that I created my previous thread.
  2. It's been several months now and this bug still persists. I know you are aware of this bug, but I wonder what could be the reason this isn't a higher priority? why would you add new features before fixing this bug? It's not a small thing to neglect. One can't use their mock ups due to this issue. Please fix it. Thanks for the understanding and looking forward to this fix. Warmly, Stefan
  3. I know this has been previously requested, but I wanted to emphasise on the importance of it. Imagine I've spent hundreds of dollars on variable fonts and at the end I can't use them.. That's the case with a lot of us. But a bit of encouragement – you are doing a fantastic job! I love the suit and I try to explore it in depth (because it offers so much) so I can soon transition from adobe for good. I know that day is close 🙂
  4. Hey, since I'd previously struggled with the layers panel, now I definitely find it more intuitive. I think you will grow accustomed to it.
  5. I know this has previously been requested many times, but on one of the threads Affinity Serif say they will add calligraphic brushes before Affinity 2 is out. However it's not present in the Affinity 2 as well.
  6. Pšenda, holding shift changes the angle to 45, 90, 135 degrees etc. What if the current angle is 11 degrees and I want to keep it that way?
  7. The vector brush by default is a circle. When you draw a curve with a perfect circle brush you get a uniform (in thickness) stroke. I would like to be able to change the proportions of the roundness of the brush so it's not a circle anymore but an ellipse. For instance, when you draw an O with an ellipse-shaped brush the O will be thicker on the sides and thinner on the top and bottom, or vice versa, depending on the angle of the brush. I use this feature in Illustrator for lettering. I create custom lettering for all of my designs so it's a main feature for my workflow and for the workflow of other (maybe all) lettering artists. This is mainly requested for Affinity Designer.
  8. 0. Remove an excess node while keeping the original shape of the path. A few extra useful ideas for manipulating nodes: 1. Being able to click on a handle and select it while deselecting the node that it originates from so you could manipulate the handle independently with nudges or with the transform tool. 2. Being able to contract/expand the length of a handle while dragging it inwards (toward the origin node) or outwards while holding a modifier (for instance command) so it locks the current angle of the handle but only affects the length. 3. Being able to move a node along a path while it's handles remain locked in their position. It could happen with a modifier key while dragging or nudging the node. 4. If you click + modifier on a path it would be nice to add an extremum node on the path (nearest extremum). Extremum is a node that's the furthest left or right or up or down on a path. If you study Glyphs app, it's the #1 software for creating fonts. It gives you such a precision in operating with the nodes and handles. You can get so many Ideas from there. I hope you implement those!
  9. A quick update: Bulgarian language is added. A am happy!
  10. I am just seeing that I have requested this feature for affinity photo, while I meant it for the "Designer" app. I hope it makes more sense now.
  11. I’ll answer my questions: 1. select pen tool and the relevant shape and a slider will appear next to the pen tool 2. Select the fill tool and choose bitmap option
  12. I see that you got tons of questions,I just want to encourage you that you are doing fantastic job! I bought the whole set of apps and it was wort every cent! now to the questions - how do I adjust the stroke width of shapes on Affinity Photo on ipad? And how do I add a pattern fill to a shape?
  13. I've downloaded a psd mock up and opened it in affinity photo. One of the live filters that was applied didn't match the photoshop equivalent. Let me further explain. In Photoshop a warp filter is applied to the mock up but in Affinity Photo a perspective filter is applied instead of the warp filter. You can download and open the file to see. I don't promote the mock up, I promise! https://www.pixeden.com/psd-mock-up-templates/psd-paper-brand-scene-mockup
  14. Glad to hear I’m not alone in that. Parallel pen is a pen with flat nib rather than pointy. You can google Pilot parallel pen - these are the most popular.
  15. I’d be happy to be able to set a variable width to the strokes that is determined by a custom angle of a flat brush. Basically i need a stroke that imitates a calligraphic parallel pen. This is because I create italic scripts in illustrator and I really want to be able to do that here as well..
  16. Hi Alfred, Thanks for taking your time to reply. I am using the "Bulgarian" keyboard, but the only Bulgarian thing about it is the layout. The actual letterforms are still traditional CYR, not localized. Even on the keyboard itself. For instance I will compare what a letter "i" in Russian (traditional) and Bulgarian (rounded) Cyrillic should look like. It's: и (RUS) > u (BGN). You can gain a better understanding if you review this link: https://www.fontfabric.com/blog/rounded-bulgarian-cyrillic-narrative-and-comparison/
  17. I believe all the node options are too much, but the important ones are still missing after so many years. Like smart removal of nodes (that keep the shape intact). Or being able to select handles and nudging them or extend/contract them along the axis. or move nodes along the path while constraining the handles. Take “Glyphs app” for instance, they have the perfect handling of nodes.
  18. It’d be nice to see options to change the language of text. If I type in cyrillic I get Russian letterforms and I need the localized Bulgarian ones. Also I think I can’t choose from stylistic or contextual alternates.
