Reopening Affinity 2nd Time

I downloaded Affinity Photo from the Apple store on 24 July 2016. Initially, after opening my pc, I can boot Affinity from Launchpad. However, if I close Affinity it will not reopen unless I reboot my computer. Apple support had me delete Affinity and reinstall it. The problem still exists. I am using a MacBook Pro and I have the latest updates.
