  1. I am happy to tell that joe-l was right, and that the advise he gave me, did the trick! I found the fault "the hard way", and it turned out that the problem was due to a corrupt image file. (An old photo which I had sharpened a bit in Topaz Sharpen AI. When I imported the unsharpened image, everything turned out fine.) That said, I still think that the error feedback could have been bettered, if possible. I am vere grateful to you who have spent time and effort on trying to help me. But I do believe that Affinity could have done a better job here. I am not a programmer, but depending on where in the export process the problems occur, I guess it would have been possible to at least offer some suggestions about where to start looking for things to fix.
  2. Thank you so much. Being both desperat and slightly patient, I'll try both the hard and the soft way!
  3. Everything is placed in the same folder on one of two internal discs on my pc. But it is situated on a disc D, whereas the software is on disc C.
  4. I have been using AP since it came to market - and Serif Page before that - and have designed quite a few books and magazines with this software. But this time, AP would not export my document ( a 88 page book made for a local history society ) to PDF. I have tried to figure out what has happened. The preflight report tells that a dictionary is missing ( there is none for my language ), but otherwise, everything seems fine. I am using a Windows 10-based pc with an I7 processor and 16 GB internal memory. The colour space is set to CMYK in document setup and in export, and I have tried disabling Hardware-accelerated GPU-scheduling. All in vain. I just get an error message, which only tells that there is an error. I have discovered that, thank you! 😉 I really miss some information, indicating what may have gone wrong, and suggestions about how to fix the issue. And worse still: I have no clue what to do. The printshop is waiting for the pdf-files, there is set a date for releasing of the book, and it seems that it all hangs on problems in Affinity.
  5. Hello I have been struggling for some time now, trying to figure out how to include page numbering in the table of content in a book I am designing. I know it is possible, but I am not able to figure out how it is done. It seems that I am not the only one struggling. I think it will be a good idea if you could make a small tutorial about this topic. I would highly appreciate it, at least... Best regards Rune Garmann
  6. I am trying to make give the fills and lines of some objects - a triangle, some circles and some letters - white. They turn out as pink objects. I have checked that I chose the correct colour in the dialogue box. Attached are a sample, in afdesign and pdf Versions. I am running the software on a pc With Windows 10 installed. I do not rule out the possibility of this situation being caused by my lack of knowledge of Affinity Designer, and if that is the case, I apologize for waisting Your time. 190911_Nytt_Vestlandsprosjektbanner.afdesign 190911_Nytt_Vestlandsprosjektbanner.pdf
