when I'am ready with editing the selected area, how to leave the selection tool

I've shared a picture from Affinity Photo to Apple Foto's. Then I look in Apple Foto's at the info and become the info: no camera- and no lens information. The file has also become a little file, not all the bits are there. That's a pity! Second question: is the picure, that i can see in Foto's somewhere on the hard drive after sharing from Affinity Photo?

These tutorials ar to fast. Impossible to follow for me. Are there others?

Thanks for your advices. I've tried the extensions. That give me to little possibilities. To open photo's in affinity Photo from Apple Foto is possible, but after editing I must export the images again to Apple Foto's. That's cumbersome I think.

Yes I know that way. In Lightroom it's much easyer. You can export to a location and choose for opening in Foto's. It's a;so possible to export moere files at once. Affinity is very complicated, not customer friendly

I would drag and drop the photo to the application icon of Foto's. But how? On what can I click? on the photo on the screen or is there a icon tu use?

Apple photo's opens automatically, when i connect my camera, but then i close Foto's immediately. Then I open my pictures in Affinity, make edits and export them to finder>pictures. After that I import the pictures in Foto's. (When I should use 'share' I loose important information about the picture) This is what I do, but my question is: are there better possibilities?
