All of Affinity's products take a long time to open but Photo takes so long I often just don't use it. Why is that? Is there a way to speed it up?

Great, thanks for the lack of genorosity. The sample files would be a great short-cut to creating quick work. Between the fantastically overly complex UX, ridiculous start-up times and this, these products get less interesting all the time.

Does Photo import PS custom brush shapes? I just received a bunch and need to open them. Can't find a clear answer on the googles. Thanks, Kevin

Not the welome screen, the New Document dialougue. Going through the settings (same for exporting) takes too much time for quick work.

I find myself not using Affinity Photo and Designer when I want to quickly knock out a sketch or alpha map, etc. It takes too long to open, go through the dialouge, etc. Could you create an option for them to open automatically (and quickly!) to a preset (e.g. a 2000 x 2000 px) and avoid the dialouge stuff? I love Mischief for this sort of thing, or Procreate, b/c they just get you to the work without breaking the flow. (or, if that's possible now, let me know how to set it up?) Thanks, Kevin

Does Designer support a way for objects to push other objects out of the way, similar to text wrap in Pages or Word? For example, 3 circles next to a rectangle. If move the rectangle, I want it to just push the spheres out of the way (ordinarily it covers them). Is that possible in Designer, using constraints or any other method?

One thing that kind of drives me nuts using eiher Photo or Designer is starting a new project. So 1. Click to start Designer, 2. Cmd-N to get a new project dialouge, 3. OK the dialogue... My Q is, is there a way to set up Designer / Photo so that it starts up and goes to whatever present I use 99% of the time? I really just want to get in and out as fast as possible. Thanks

Quick note on Vimeo. I liked having the tuts on Affinity's site, better layout, quicker access, etc but understand the move to Vimeo. However, at some point can you separate the Photo and Designer tuts - I use both and watch the tuts for reference often but not find myself wading through ones I don't need to see for that app. Thanks.
