Worked! Thank you. I'm assuming i don't have the beta since I purchased affinity in the app store. I'm extremely new to all of this.

Thanks for the response and welcome! I'm wanting the text to stay black except for where is overlaps, if that makes since?

that does sound perfect! So this isn't a function available in affinity photo as of now? I have Affinity Photo version 1.3.5

i am working on an image that is pretty simple. How would i make this overlap white? I've attached a screen shot of the text I'm trying to do this with. i have them in two separate layers. any help would be much appreciated! Sorry if this is a noob question.
