Hello Mark,

I thought that using non-local files are the problem, so I moved the files to local drive, and tried to save in the local drive. 

I didn't have any problem before 1.9 upgrade.

After upgrading to 1.9.0, I am not able to save any of my work when the work has inserted files that are made with the previous version.

 I get a message "Save failed because the file could not be written to". no matter where ever I save. (local or cloud)

Please advise.

I'm having same saving file issue  with you since I upgraded Affinity to 1.9. did you solve this issue?

Sorry to hear you're having trouble, this is a known bug that is caused by having an embedded document in your file that is a different colour space/ICC profile from your 'master' file.

There are 2 options here, firstly you can double click on all embedded documents and change the colour space/ICC profile to match the 'master' document.

Yes I am using the latest version.

The problem started recently and the application shuts down with any files I try to print.

Any idea?

[Music Fonts and PDF files]

I just found your post, and I am wondering you got any solution to your problem...I think I am going through same problem with you....

I am using a music score maker App called Symphony pro, and the app only exports the document to PDF.... When I open the PDF created by Symphony app with Affinity, it shows that there is missing font called Bravura, and all 8th notes's flag becomes squares. I tried to install the font, but it failed. 

I understand I can use Preview and export the file to PNG etc, but it will be so much easier and flexible to add and change things if Affinity works.
