Hi, I am getting this still now in 2024. I was about to buy Affinity as it looks brilliant and the extension plug in with Apple is exactly what I want, as another user here commented, where we can use MAcPhotos as our Raw repository and for any simple edits and for more complex things, export it to Affinity and use the power of layers and masks. It appears in the last 4 years no progress on this issue? As one person asked, what does flattened really mean. I am assuming that it means that the layers are merged back into the Mac RAW file somehow. Does this degrade image quality...
