Encountered the problem with another app, so I'm wondering if there's something wrong with my graphics drivers. Mostly things work as they should, but noticed the crashing of another app was very similar to this

No, didn't run AP for long. Opened it just to edit pictures, managed to edit one, closed that one after I was done with it and then opening another image crashed the app. Later opening just one image crashed the app completely. I think I restarted my computer when the crashing started and everything seemed to work fine for one image again, then opening another one was crashing the app again. Then I gave up for a while, but didn't shut down or restart my computer, just put it to sleep. So basically my steps where 1. open AP 2. open wanted CR3 file (at some point this was when crash occured) 3. edit the file in developement persona 4. finish editing by clicking on the "develope" 5. export the image at the size and filetype I want 6. close the image 7. open image (usually this was the part where crash happened) Is there some way to get debug logs when AP crashes? If I see the problem again, I could share them (or if I can find them from the weekend when I had the problem)

Version is 2.2.1, think I saw this also happening on some earlier version before updating. Now I actually couldn't get the app to crash when opening RAW files, editing them or even having 2 RAW files open at the same time. Tested also quickly if opening something like JPEG or PNG has any difference. I'd still keep this thread open for a while at least. I'll try to test again later by developing more pictures that I wanted to develope.

Affinity Photo keeps crashing for me. I am able to open RAW file (.CR3) once and edit that, but opening another file after closing the first one crashes the app. The crash seems to also turn the screen(s) black for a second. Also editing two files seems to work for a while (e.g. taking two pictures and layering them together) but then trying to develope the end result crashes the app again. I don't remember seeing this on Windows 10, but seeing this now on Windows 11. There was a few months break from using the software and between that time I had upgraded from Windwos 10 to 11. Also having crashing problems with Affinity Photo (both V1 and V2) I didn't have these problems with Windows 10 myself, but started to happen after I upgraded to Windows 11. Don't know if it's really the reason for the crashes as I had a small break from using the software and the upgrade happened at the break time, but also had to install all software again. Ryzen 5800X, RAM 32GB, Nivida 3070 Ti I don't mind if some things take a bit to load, but crashing when just opening files or when trying to develope pictures is something I'm very angry about after paying for the software. I liked it before but now I've just been pulling my hair for a while. -edit- Now I seem to be able to open one image, edit that and then opening another file crahses the app.

PLEASE FIX THIS! I can't open files anymore at all. Affinity photo was crashing after ediging 2-3 pictures and suddenly stopped working at all and crashes when trying to open any file. I didn't have this with Windows 10, but on Windows 11 I started no notice this. Maybe this differs with users -edit- Tested also Affinity Photo 1 and same problem -edit2- Seems to work after computer restart.. But it did work also earlier for a while -edit3- Oh this thread is about Designer, I have Photo. Well mostly same code base I assume
