While recording, I noticed that the problem has disappeared. Maybe one of the two beta-updates (up to 2.1.0.1790) did the trick. Can you close this topic?

I have problems with my graphics card (AMD Radeon RX 5700) in the regular version (benchmark 617 vs. 12312 with the beta), so I tried the beta version. But while I work with Refine selection, something weird is happening. The file I'm using is 4032x3024 pixels at 72 dpi, file size (afphoto) 34 MB, one layer only. Hardware Rendering is on. Opening the Refine selection window, after the analyzing phase, when I don't touch anything, I have CPU Affinity 14%, GPU System 26%, GPU Affinity 14%. In version 2.04, I have zero % in all three. While increasing/decreasing size with STRG+mousewheel, the beta version is not usable anymore, it is extremely laggy, CPU is 12%, GPU zero. In version 2.04, smooth operation, CPU is around 3%, GPU System around 30%, GPU Affinity around 5%. Any idea what's happening here?

Hello, while searching for this issue ([] don't work in Windows), I found another "workaround": F2 decreasis the brush size, F4 increases brush size. I didn't see these shortcuts mentioned anywhere in Affinity, so I don't know where they come from, but they are more easy for a right-handed user.
