hi there, finally, with sweat and blood, i understand how the constraint group works, but i nothice 1 issue here, after i'm happy with my "CGroup" . i adjusted it and do stuff. and then i need just the background of this CGroup, so i went to layers panel, and i select the bg object, i copied, then pasted it . weird thing it didn't appear nearby, but after zoomed out a bit, the object become so big it covered the whole 2 artboard i made. thankyou

yeah, i feel like the functions in AD need some wild tweaking . i mean, in illustrator, i can select all , and convert text to curve ctrl-shift-O , and all text object in this active document will be converted to curves. in or out of a group . no matter how deep it grouped. same case also happens when a group contains a path with no fill, just stroke and a text . if we're about to "convert stroke to curve" . AD just can't do it . the function didn't do anything. note : i used arial font for that sample file, thinking arial is the most common font on earth . looks like the fonts magically converted to curve in your end , i just save . a casual save as afdesign format .. i'm sorry i can't produce a screen capture, not these hectic days

hi there, let me express my gratitude first for this beautiful software, i really like how affinity designer works and display things for user. however, in my work PC, which far from minimum spec requirements, if i use AD for a long time, it start to feel laggy, not so much but i feel like something burden the proccess. is that something related to windows clipping board win+V ? or how many image inserted or ... ? regards, khalifah

Affinity Designer V2, windows 11/10, this PC spec is beyond minimum requirements. i worked with lots of text, i made layout for math videos, which i have to immitate math symbol placements and do some equation layout too. i notice that i can paste an object inside a text object (which super cool! i really love this feature in Affinity Designer). but whenever i click on this text+text or text+object and i run 'convert to curve' . the object is gone (most of the time completely, or some resides but nearly 99% is gone). pics worth more than words, just see my steps.

hi good fellas, i'm working on pretty old machine. i5-2500S on gigabyte H61M-DS5 (v.5) 450W 80+ bronze 8Gb RAM (1 slot) nvidia GTX 1650 4Gb SSD for OS, affinity and save location i'm using V1 and loved how affinity shaped now (been waiting since 2016) but the performance is somewhat laggy and choppy on my PC (whether just navigating in the viewport or dragging/arranging stuff in my design. i ask this because i'm using illustrator in this PC too and the problem is felt lesser than when i'm using affinity designer. is this happened because of my old pc or V2 would be better for me ?
