  1. Why is there no facility to save a .aphoto file for RAW images before they are developed? The use case is: - I have a RAW file open in AP2 and I make some changes. - I have not finished making the changes, but I want to close that image and come back to it later. At this stage I do not wish to develop the image There is no 'Save' or 'Save as' option on the File menu ion the develop persona. Once I develop I get the options to save - which is to be expected. To not have the ability to save work-in-progress on a RAW image is very poor application behaviour. if nothing else, I like to save as I am going along in case there are PC issues. I realise that until you develop no changes are applied on disk - but to not be able to save WIP is not acceptable. Are there any plan to introduce such a facility? I have seen some posts referring to lack of desire to have to confirm closing images etc - but they are missing the point - if I have made changes on-screen I want to be able to save them, regardless of when (or if) I ever develop the image. Thank you Stewart Bourke
  2. I know it's a while since this was active, but I have been having this issue on and off. The most recent post (Jan17) confirmed what I am seeing. I had a .ARW file open in the raw persona, and I opened a second .ARW file in a new tab. I applied my edits - (considerable exposure and highlights changes) to the second .ARW and clicked 'Develop'. The .ARW file I was developing reverted to the original pre-adjustment settings, but the exposure and highlight changes were applied to the first .ARW file I had opened which was still in the Develop persona. Not sure if it is relevant, but I am opening images in Affinity from the ACDSEE asset-management tool What is frustrating is that exiting Affinity and restating it - everything worked fine. Hope this helps
  3. ok - thank you. At least is wasn't just me - I thought I was doing something wrong.
  4. I have just installed 2.0.4 over 2.0.3. When I develop a RAW any adjustments are lost. I am developing Sony A7RIV RAW, (file size 120MB). I applied exposure, virance and adjusted highlights and shadows on several images and every time I develop the developed image reverts to the original 'as-loaded' version. This did not happen with 2.0.3 - so I may have to revert - but wanted to know if anybody else had this issue. Running AP 2.0.4 on Windows 10 - latest version. Thank you Stewart Bourke
  5. Thank you both for the replies - they are very helpful. More reading to do now!! Stewart Bourke
  6. I am finding out very quickly that printing 'properly' from within AP requires some setup and understanding of colour profiles etc. I have AP2 on a 2-pc setup. AP2 is installed in PC1, and the printer - a Canon Pixma IP4850 is installed on a different PC (PC2) - both of which are running Windows 10. The IP4850 is shared as a remote printer on PC2. My question is which PC is used to setting colour profiles etc when printing? Do the OS printer driver setting on the remote PC impact the print output (colour management etc) or is it all done on the PC where AP2 is installed. Do I need to have all profiles and settings installed on both PCs? I would have expected it to be PC2 but initial tests (and it is very early in my learning) seems to indicate PC2's settings have no impact on the colour prints when sent from AP2 - but I may be missing steps. I will be trying the setup on both machines - but it takes some time and I could miss something - so wanted to ask if anybody out there has the same scenario - i.e. printing on a printer remotely attached to another PC. If there is, are there any guidelines or links available to assist in the setup? Thank you Stewart Bourke
