Hello all, Still learning Affinity v2, left adobe after 15 years so there's a few wiggly niggly bits here and there and my question is on Masks. its very basic. If I have a mask and I've done what I need todo on it... but I decided to come back to it and I need to hide/show more of something, I click my masking layer, but why can't my brush colours automatically goto Black & White so I can work on the mask? I can press "D" to reset the brush colours to Black & white and use "X" to switch between. but why doesn't the brush just automatically goto the Layer Mask usable colours of B&W? Its something photoshop did for you. Am I missing something. Is there a setting I've missed? cheers everyone!

I appreciate your reply. However, I did not purchase my license through a 3rd party (App Store) it was directly from Affinity. Additionally, all the other apps works fine. AP worked fine before the update. So I think this is more a bug then my end of my license as I have a universal license and it wasn't displaying this screen before as I've stated before, ive already registered. The update has broken this.

Since 2.0.3 (believe it was 2.0.2 before) I always get the “registration screen” when opening AF Photo. I have of course already done this when i purchased at start of December and been using app since. I have universal license and the other 2 apps are totally fine and logged in and registered.. working fine. when trying to Log in, after entering password, the LOG IN button doesn’t do anything.. if I press BACK it says this “Your app has been successfully registered to your Affinit...” Even if I don’t enter a email or password..

Would I’d be possible to dock tools to the right, next to the layers? (AF2 Photo) I know you can undock and have a it floating where you want, But it would be nice for it to clip next to the layer panels… Like photoshop…. Sounds clichè I know haha

I can second this. It works using the MacBook track pad. But a Bluetooth mouse or a Wacom pen it doesn’t register. Eventually it will, but usually ends up running the marco 3-4 times over

Thank you for the welcome. Disabling Hardware Acceleration fixed the issue. So that's sorted. Just to answer other questions anyway. Yes Re-installed Tablet software. Issue occurred on all documents, blank or not. Tablet is a Wacom Intuos CTL-400 for home use but my work one which is a Intuos Pro Large PTH-851 has same results. Hardware acceleration has helped here thank you. No sure what Hardware Acceleration is however.. I'll keep it off and see how it goes.

When using the View tool [H] the click and pan around the image is buttery smooth using a trackpad or mouse. however, using the Wacom pen is laggy. the rulers around the canvas are moving smoothly but the image isn’t. it’s very weird as a Wacom pen is basically a mouse I don’t understand why AF seems to lag with it.
