  1. There is a newer SOE out I have on another machine 19044. Also doesn't support MSIX. Corporate environments are a different monster.
  2. Thank you so much for the answer! This is for sure the right decision and will make life easier for everyone. I agree with GenewalDesign, that comment deserves it's own thread. I'm more that happy to wait, as long as I know it's coming.
  3. Then I also wont know whether updates will cause issues. I just want a bit of transparency from Affinity to answer my questions. Only once I know whether they plan to support us properly can I decide whether I want will continue to use their software. It's unfortunate there's not an upgrade path, then I could refund and choose to buy again in the future if they fix it. But it looks like I wouldn't get and good pricing in that case.
  4. Consumer page. Our organisation doesn't do a whole lot of graphics work. Corporate IT is not very flexible in adding new stuff. That's why most of us who do purchase, purchase a private license. A few local IT staff have local install privileges, but the systems don't support MSIX.
  5. I've been told by IT support that our enterprise systems will not support MSIX any time in the near future. As a result this software is useless to me where I need to use it most. Will there be an exe/msi installer added or should I just refund it? What's the deadline on getting a refund? I don't want to request a refund and then find in a month they provide an installer I can use and the sale is already over. If I know there will be an alternative installer, I'm happy to keep using v1 until then. If one's not coming, I don't want to have wasted $100 USD that I can only use at home in my personal hours. I don't know that to choose, I need answers. If there's no answer, can we get an extended refund period until it has been decided so we can make an informed decision?
  6. Then the IT department of the parent company says no. They do upgrades across tens of thousands of machines across the world. If something goes wrong, people can literally die in our industry. They're not going to care that some users can't use this software. The software works on those versions of Windows, it's just the installer that doesn't. It was not a smart decision for Affinity to exclude users like this over an installer...
  7. Not everyone has the option to upgrade windows or use the Microsoft Store. Anyone in a large corporate environment likely has no ability to update, nor access to the Microsoft Store.
  8. Can you please provide an alternate installer? Our corporate standard operating environment Windows 10 version can't even run the installer. It's also not possible to update windows. That's done company wide over hundreds of thousands of machines only after super intensive testing and nothing anyone but the top of our parent companies IT department can even consider. Changing the installer to something so unsupported and blocking so many users is not a good idea. Some can't choose locations, others can't install at all.
  9. 17763.3532 is the version running on all our machines internationally. They're known for being slow. All such upgrades are handled by our parent company. I personally have access for local administration to install software on individual user PC's, but no control over machine versions. We work with systems that are peoples lives literally depend on. Since life and death is on the line, at an international scale. All upgrades and such are tested insanely before any changes are made to the standard operating environment.
  10. So... It's impossible for anyone using our company computers to use this software now? Our company is huge and has offices all around the world. We don't get such upgrades often.
  11. Windows 10 Enterprise LTSC 1809. As I read it the version should be recent enough.
  12. "Windows can't open this type of file (.msix)" Please add a traditional installer. It's probably to do with being in a corporate environment. I have admin access to install software, but it seems whatever is needed to run MSIX is not included on any of the computers. Unless you want to block people from using it in corporate environments, you might want to provide an alternative. I did read somethings about it maybe being associated with the Windows Store. That is not included in our version of windows and never will be.
