Thank you, at least I know now that the images are the problem. Unfortunately your methods didn't work. Even if I rename all the folders containing images and ignore the relink prompt, Publisher still crashes after the prompt is gone. I am now working on the file in Designer (which has no problem opening it) and doing the index in Word. It works for now, and I'm at least able to meet my deadline.

If I rename the folder some images are stored in, Publisher gives me the option to relink them when I open. It doesn't load the whole document before it gives me the relink message. If I then relink the images, the rest of the document loads, and the program crashes.

Publisher crashes every time I try to open this document. I've tried re-linking some images which might be the offenders, but I've not gone through all the images in the document. I've tried turning hardware acceleration on and off, no result. I'm on a deadline, so help would be much appreciated. Turbok.afpub
