  1. If you use Japanese in some word processor, what you usually get is that at the end of a line the period comes nicely and directly after the character, as if the period sticks out a little to the right, and it all fits well. Also, kanji are not broken off too soon (by going into a new line too soon (without Entering)). But what I've gotten in Affinity Publisher is exactly that: (1) the last character and the period sometimes are cut off and put on a new line, creating a gap at the end of line before the new line, and (2) if there's no period, sometimes the last character gets newlined even though there's no need for it, again creating un ugly gap. In the end, this makes it look pretty ugly, and causes extra work and fiddling that, by the way, has lead me nowhere so far. For example, I tried expanding the text frame's right vertical line to the right for a little more room, but this does not help. If illustration is necessary, here is a quick and dirty one, where the period in the correct example should be pretty much the end of the line: (correct) それを知った. (incorrect) それを知っ た. In the following example, the second character of 言葉 should be the last character on the line: (correct) 多くの漢字があり、多くの言葉 がある. (incorrect) 多くの漢字があり、多くの言 葉がある. How will this be solved?
