  1. How can I rezie the columns in a table inported from work? The column widths are nothing like they appear in word after import. I can resize all but the last right column. I get the double arrow at the rightmost column but it will not resize like the others.
  2. I have been delaying the layout of my next book. Previous ones have been in Indesign. I had hoped to do the next on in Publisher. The book includes a lot of tabular data. It is still the case that tables cannot span pages? If so, I have no choice but to do the next one in InDesign.
  3. Is there any simple way to get Publisher to place all pages of PDF in a file and create a separate Publisher page for each PDF page?
  4. I have done this many times in Photoshop but I am trying to switch everything over to Photo. I need to create an image for the cover of a book. The image has to cover the entire book. I have created a new color image the size of a book cover. The image size is the front+back+spine+wrap around. I have placed reference lines at the start of the overlap and at the ends of the spine. I place the image I want to use cover and position it The image is in the right half of the cover so that it will appear on the front. Now I want to crop the image using the reference lines on the cover as a guide. How do I do that? When I use the CROP tool, it wants to crop the entire cover, not just the cover image. After that problem is solved, I would like to extend the image in all four directions to so that the back and wrap areas blend to the image. Part of a cover using Photoshop below. How would I do that in Photo?
  5. When dragging and dropping files into photo, the resulting tab should be in file alphabetical order. Currently, the are apparently random, making it difficult to organize file.
  6. That's a major flaw. I am hoping to cut the adobe cord but I keep running into problems like this.
  7. Is there any way to get tables to flow from one text box to the next? I have seen old posts that say this is not posslble but I was wondering if this has been corrected.
  8. The crop tool did the job. The crop tool is more intuitive than Adobe's way of doing things. Unfortunately, I was used to Abode's way of doing things. Thanks
  9. I am trying to embed PDFs created in a CAD program in a Publisher Document. A lot of these PDFs are empty space. In InDesign I can move edges of the PDFs to crop the PDF to the actual content without resizing. Everything I have tried in Publisher resizes. Is there some way to adjust the border of a PDF without resizing the content?
  10. Thanks: There were two apparent problems with Merging documents. 1) It appears that I have merge each file separately which is a major PITA with 30 chapters. 2) I could only get through 7 chapters. When I tried to add the eighth, Publisher locked up. Is there any trick when the fie gets large? In regard to import: Does Publishers support tables split cross columns and pages? On a set of 3 column pages, I have a table spanning four pages. On import, in only got a visible table in the center column of the first page and it looks like it goes off the margins.
  11. I have been looking for ways to get off of Adobe for years. It was suggested I try Affinity Publisher. I went to my current book project and exported everything to IDML files (about 30 files, 390pp). Then I went into Publisher and created native files. (I saw a few things that did not import correctly.) How do I combine the chapter files to get the table of contents and page numbering working? I searched for "book" and similar terms but came up with nothing.
