  1. @Hens: WOooohooo. Thanks for the movie. This is what I did now for the quick version and it worked out fine. @Pšenda: this is what I needed for pixel output. THANK you. I forgot to merge and then convert into curves. That'll work now for my patchwork with squares. The initial question is still on my mind: - how do I do this with vector output? - how do I get the circles (1st image) plus the lines able to have a filling method? I tried your method but only the line shapes get filled, not the form of the circle ScreenCaptureProject2_1.mp4
  2. Hi Carl, this is what I did as a quick solution. The other solutions need more time for me to test and learn - BUT thanks to you all. I'll try and let you guys know, what came out of the first design Many greetings from Bavaria, Germany - merry Christmas and have a save, healthy and prosperous new year.
  3. OMG - you guys are great 😘 Those ideas are great and VERY usefull - but for another purpose though. I guesst I'm not explaining right. There, I'll include a simple fill sample with history. After doing my "patchwork-blanket", I would like to easily fill those desired squares with just one click, like I'm used to in Photoshop (ok, with rasterized images for the first try). Would you take a look at my sample? Can you tell, where I'm going wrong from the beginning on? Because this would be my starting point for creating more complex designes, like I showed in the beginning with the multiple lines and circles for a design, which I would like to just fill some of the selected boxes to become a colored open circle or whatever I like to fill those tiny boxes with. Thanks again for your kind help 🥰 easy-fill.afdesign
  4. I would need for my patchwork rasterized output and for another work vector for lines and circles ... Well, I guess I've started wrong from the beginning on?
  5. ok, I guess the simple filling method of areas in one artboard is not working in AD? But there must be an easy way I used don't see: Another example: I need to set a pattern for patchwork patches and draw an artboard with 6 squares width and 6 rows down. I would like to use the bucket to just click an fill those desired areas. the bucket doesn't do nothing when clicking in one square, except I select the layer, which I need to "look for".
  6. it doesn't work like I thought: when drawing a circle, divided by lines in half, how to fill only one part of the circle ... maybe I can conclude to the more complex design idea?
  7. Hi there, I would like to fill certain tiny fields in this with lines lined circle. Using the fill mode doesn't do nothing. How do I need to prepare the circle and lines to be able to select certain fields and fill it? Thx a lot, Nicole
