  1. Hi, Yes I do mean blend modes. From one of the links you sent it appears that inverting eg two layers, multiplying then inverting again should give the result I'm looking for. Thanks, I'll try it that way.
  2. Hi, In Photoshop and other programs screen mode works as if you are projecting a layer onto an underlying layer (usually grey) as if it were light you are projecting. You can therefore screen several layers onto the grey layer to mix/merge colours, ghost images etc. Affinity photo doesn’t seem to work the same way, only the top layer is visible. Maybe I’m doing something wrong but is there a way to achieve the same function?
