  1. Hi I did a trawl of current posts, but couldn't find the answer to this question. "Does Affinity Photo apply lens correction to images used in a panorama stitch, or should that step be done independently in advance?" Thanks Chris
  2. Hi barninga It was done in camera, bracketed with an additional exposure compensation. The lowest two were actually the same exposure as I dialled in a bit more than I realised, so reached the max shutter speed (1/4000 on the 6D) - my mistake, just rushing to get one more set of bracketed shots before heading back for breakfast. Thanks for your reply, I wasn't aware of that interpretation by some software and it's always useful to have something else to be aware of. Chris
  3. Hi Lee Thanks for the reply. Your explanation fits the bill very well. I was shooting directly into the sunrise, so had a lot of exposure compensation applied in an attempt to retain some colour in the sun/sky. If you're still happy to do some quick checks I'll try to work out the best way to get the files over to you. Should I send all of the bracketed images, or just the lowest exposures? Chris
  4. Hi. Has anyone had any issue with the number of files used for an HDR Merge? In the past I had no issues with 7 bracketed files, but recently I tried this, pausing the process prior to tone mapping, and only saw 4 of the 7 in the sources panel. I then tried to use 4 of the 7 as inputs, but then could only see 2 of the input files. Does anyone have any potential explanation? Could it be some problem with the .CR2 files. Thanks Chris Update : It may be something to do with the spacing between the brackets (1 1/3 stop). I tried to use HDREfex 2 (after converting to tiff) and received a warning that 2 or more of the files had the same exposure information (although Canon DPP4 indicated different settings). I then tried another set from the same session which were only 1 stop apart, and could see all 7 input files.
  5. Thanks for the fast reply. Always a benefit when you know what you can & can't do. Cheers
  6. Hi Complete newbie here. I've also come from Lightroom, not really familiar with Photoshop, so the learning curve is quite steep. The movie was great in explaining how to do this. I have an associated question. I did something similar using a gradient overlay in the develop persona, and added a couple of overlays. I then moved to the photo persona, but when i went back to the develop persona only the master was visible. Is this expected? The video tutorials are excellent by the way. Cheers
