How to setup default colour mode setting of the colour palette to CMYK mode?

Hi, I've been reading the thread on this topic and I'm still confused. Is it possible to make my colour palette show CMYK instead of HSL values? [ I have already set my default to CMYK and nothing happens. I am using v 1.9.3 ] Appreciate the help! A
