Downloaded photos from iCloud using iOS Files app as you suggested , think I did it correctly but it work’s perfectly. Many thanks for your help😎🥃

.Just purchased iPad Pro and downloaded affinity photo. All well but trying to open or import from cloud, nothing happens,will be grateful of any help
