  1. Thank you for your comments on the font issue. For me, the easier path is leaving the fonts as is. Since printing works, all I have to worry about with fractions are pdfs. If I worked with fractions on a daily basis, I'd have to explore more thoroughly why Affinity, my fonts and pdfs are not working when it comes to fractions. As I mentioned previously, I have no issues with fractions using apps other than Affinity to create pdfs.
  2. I created the fraction by typing •1/2• and computer converted to ½ I did not use the special symbol fraction.
  3. Even with my version of formata, Publisher is capable of creating the fraction in the document, it prints out the fraction successfully, but fails to print out the fraction in a pdf. So it seems the issue is isolated to pdfs.
  4. I use formata font from Adobe some years ago. I noted how you created ½ using the character palate in Publisher. That option isn't available with my formata. I checked further. Adobe fonts I purchased some years don't seem to work in Publisher for creating fractions that export to pdf documents. Some MT fonts I purchased same time period do work. Is my formata faulty? I checked with Word. Fractions I create in Word using formata do get saved as fractions in pdf. Further I never had issues with fractions when using InDesign, So it seems clear that Affinity Publisher is more selective in the fonts that will work for creating fractions using the character palette.
  5. Affinity Publisher 1.10.5 Mac OS 12.5.1 iMac 27 (2017) no performance option reproduce? yes on new doc? yes No external equipment on iMac 1030½ in Publisher shows up as 1030 in pdf, no ½ See attachments test page for fraction.afpub test page for fraction.pdf
  6. OK, thanks for the link and follow up. I'll investigate from my end and look forward to any relevant info from the crash report.
  7. Two days ago it was happening with other Publisher files I tried to open. Yesterday I worked on only that one file. After restarting computer yesterday, file opened. I just tested other files, they opened fine. I restarted the computer earlier out of principle, but also because I wondered if Publisher was sensitive to memory. I have 64GB RAM, but it fills up over time and I restart. RAM use is modest currently and I have no issue with opening files. Not sure what the crash report shows, but is Publisher sensitive to memory?
  8. My first time here. Was I supposed to make the crash file public, as it shows in the post I just uploaded? How do I not make it public?
  9. iMac OS 11.3.1, Publisher 1.9.3 I try to open existing Publisher file and I get the "fail to open" message. If I restart the computer, then I can open the file. This is the first time i"ve had an issue with Publisher.
