  1. No. Once I've re booted the computer if I click on the Affinity logo in my tool-bar I get the option to "open" it and it does open when I click on this. However, if I then close the application, from within the application, it closes but when looking at the logo in the tool bar it says it's still open. Clicking on the logo does nothing nor does going into my Applications. I have to select "Quit" in the tool bar logo and then I can go into my application folder and open it again. Sub menu from the Affinity logo in the tool bar AFTER I have closed Affinity from within the program - Affinity Photo - Quit.
  2. Cheers Björn. At 82 I'm finding it a long, slow learning curve but then, under the current circumstances time is in plentiful! Only started Astro in September last year and losing it but clear skies are a rare thing here in the SW UK at the moment. All the best.
  3. Hi Björn.I am just starting using Affinity for Astrophotography and at about the same place as you it seems. The reason that the "Align Layers by Stars" is greyed out, not available, is because the stars in the layers are too far out of alignment. In this tutorial at about minute 8, he dresses this issue. Good luck.
  4. I have downloaded and installed the Affinity Photos on my MacBook Book Pro and the Logo appears on. both my Dock and in my Application folder but when I click on them nothing happens. I thought I'd re instal from the .dmg file so I went to delete the existing Affinity in my application folder only to be told that "cannot delete as it is in use". So, Affinity is open but not visible????
