  1. Hello @stokerg, were you able to reproduce the problem with the video?
  2. Hello again, I have uploaded a quick screen recording of the process to reproduce the unexpected behavior with the two files. I hope this is useful. Today, I received a popup asking me to update to version 2.4.2. Should I update or wait until you can reproduce the issue? Designer V 2.4.1 Unexpected behavior of embedded files.mp4
  3. Hello @stokerg, thanks for your help. I have attached File 1 (Test.afdesigner) and the inserted File 3 (Test Motiv.afdesigner). With these files you will hopefully be able to reproduce the error and perhaps analyze the files. Test Motiv.afdesign Test.afdesign
  4. Application: Affinity Designer 2.4.1 Operating system and version: Windows 10 (22H2) Hardware acceleration: on Context: I use embedded files as an equivalent for Smart Objects from Photoshop for my mockups. Problem: Unexpected behavior of embedded files in embedded files. The problem occurred after updating to the latest version. My Setup: Mockup-file [File 1] (current version - V 2.4.1) contains embedded File [File 2] (maybe older version - V 1.x?) [I'm not sure if this is relevant] contains embedded another Designer-file [File 3] (current version - V 2.4.1) File 1: File 2: File 3: Problem a: The displayed Artboard of File 3 changes after reopening the File 2 from the layers panel of File 1. After testing, I can confirm that it selects the last possible Artboard. Before: After: Problem b: After I save the main file [File 1], close the software and reopen it, File 3 is not embedded anymore in File 2, it's just linked. The document setting is set to embed documents. Before: After: I have attached screenshots of the setup and the unexpected result. Do you need more context or the files to reproduce the error? Thanks for the support, Max
  5. When I embed a document with artboards in another document, the trimbox is larger than the actual artboard (grey area in the screenshot). This does not happen with new documents which I embed. Note: I did not select the whole document, but only a specific artboard. --- Are you using the latest release version? Yes, 1.9.1.979 Can you reproduce it? Does it happen for a new document? If not do you have a document you can share that shows the problem? Yes, it happens with older not new files. It doesn't matter in which file the file is embedded. Testfile.afdesign
