  1. So the 1.9.1 version didn't open the file either But I had a thought ... I opened the file in Pixelmator, exported as PSD, and now Affinity Photo can open it. This is good because I'm liking Affinity more than Pixelmator, and I'll probably buy Affinity when the trial ends. But I really needed that template, so I probably would've ended up buying Pixelmator if this hadn't worked. Makes me wonder, though, if Pixelmator can open the file, why can't Affinity? I hope it doesn't happen to me again with another file... as my Pixelmator trial is about to expire and the option will be gone.
  2. Thanks guys, Do I just wait for an Affinity moderator to offer the secure Dropbox link? Or is there a way for me to ask? I'd rather not purchase before I know whether it works, but thanks Cheers, Dan
  3. I purchased several PSD templates and was going to buy Pixelmator to work with them, gave it a trial and it opens the files but they don't look like they should. So I gave Affinity Photo a trial, and the ones it can open look heaps better. But there is still one that I can't open: When I open the PSD it says "Failed to open file - The file type is not supported". This is in Affinity Photo 1.9.0. I thought maybe it's fixed in the Affinity beta, but I can't check because it won't allow me to open the beta with my trial product key. Can you please check this out for me? I want to buy Affinity if it works with the files I need, but otherwise I'll probably just end up buying Adobe (I'd rather avoid the subscription if possible though!) I'm probably not allowed to upload the template publicly, but happy to email it to you, or upload to secure Dropbox etc. Thanks, Dan
