It is the opposite of helpful to provide an index that links to dead pages for every platform specific function. Either providing a platform specific index or linking to a landing page "sorry, not for your OS" would be helpful. And by the way: why shouldn't I read the Mac online help in Windows and vice versa - I think using the browser OS as indication is not a good idea.
