  1. Thanks for that. No idea what it all means, but Affinity 1.9 appears to be working fine, so hopefully I won't need to find out. Allan
  2. Hi @IkariShinji29,Callum,Th3Alchemist Updating the Intel graphics driver has done the trick. I went to the Intel site and downloaded the Intel Driver and Support Assistant which automatically checked my computer and gave me 3 updates to install, including the UHD Graphics 605. Affinity Photo 1.9 appears to be working fine now. Thank you, Allan
  3. Hi @Callum, I'm not sure how to capture the screen properly. I used win+alt+R to record it stage by stage, but I just did the starting point in 1.8 where it invited me to download 1.9, but that didn't show up in the video. But the post by Th3Alchemist sounds identical to what I experienced. Now I know what a splash screen is. No idea how to investigate Event Viewer. Allan
  4. I opened Infinity Photo 1.8 as usual and followed recommendation to upgrade to 1.9. The program opens a small page briefly then that disappears. I have tried several times, rebooting, with fresh downloads and uninstalling the "upgrade" but have had to go back to 1.8, which starts normally. Computer is Acer Swift SF114-32 Windows 10, Intel(R) Pentium (R) Silver N5000.
