Hi, Is it possible to export a PNG with transparent background in Publisher? When choosing export as PNG, the resulting file has a white background and I can't see an option to set the background to transparent. Should this be done before exporting somewhere in the document settings? Thanks!

Hi, when rotating the text inside a table at 270 using the feature available in Table > Rotation, most of the times the row height where the text is automatically becomes way larger and I cannot make it smaller no matter what I do. I made sure the cell insets are set to 0 to no avail. Is this a bug? I don't have this problem ALL the time, it's more like 75% of the time, but it's really annoying... Is there another way to rotate the text inside a table cell? Or is there a setting I'm missing? Thanks!

I'm thinking the problem is in the way I choose the colours for the gradient's stops... since I use the color picker and they probably don't get properly defined. But I just don't know any other way to do it. Neither can I find any information online on how to create a gradient in Affinity Publisher.

Thanks @Old Bruce I see that you don't have the gradient saved in the same Document Palette where you have the Global Colors saved. Where should the Gradient be saved? Sorry, I'm still struggling with this

Thanks, @Old Bruce Unfortunately, I must be missing something because the gradient doesn't update when I change the colors... Do the global colors have to be spot or overprint? I didn't select any. I'm attaching a screen recording. gradient.mov

For example, if I have a gradient that goes from red to yellow and both the red and the yellow are global colors, if I change the red to blue, is there a way for the gradient to become blue and yellow everywhere it is used in that document?

Hi, Is it possible to change a specific color everywhere it appears in a document in one click (more or less)? This was a very useful feature in InDesign where you would simply change the hex code of the color and it would automatically change everywhere that color was used in that document. Also, is it possible to edit a gradient and automatically update it everywhere it was used in a document?

I wasn't using the beta nor uninstalled the previous version before upgrading... The toolbar and the tools panel were reset to default settings both when I upgrades to the 1.9.0 and the 1.9.1 version. I use macOS Catalina.

Hi, is there a way to keep the toolbar customisation from one Publisher version to the next so it doesn't revert to default? It's quite annoying to have to personalise the toolbar every time a new version of the software is released. I imagine there's a box that needs to be ticked somewhere but I can't find it. Thanks!

Hi, What's the trick to creating a table of contents with links? I saw in another thread that 'Allow advanced features' has to be clicked when exporting the PDF. But even though I have 'Allow advanced features' clicked, the TOC is still not clickable. Also, the header right before the TOC (the one that says 'Table of contents') is automatically included in the TOC even though 'Include entries before TOC' is not checked in the Studio panel... Thanks!

Hi, When I group several text frames together or a text frame together with another object, the text inside the text frame loses its formatting, more precisely, it becomes way larger, resulting in 'overflowing text frame' error in preflight. This happens almost all the time with well adjusted text frames that don't have extra space around the text. Is this a bug, or am I missing something obvious? Thanks!

Hi, Every time I copy some text from one document to another, the text style of the old document is copied as a new text style in the new one, even though the styles have the same name and their settings are identical. Example: when I copy text from document A to document B, while initially they both have the same identical text style 'Title', once text is copied to document B, document B ends up having text styles 'Title' and 'Title 1' ('Title 1' used to be 'Title' in document A and by copying it to document B it got duplicated and renamed). Is there a way to merge the 2 text styles either at the moment of copying or afterwards? I don't want to end up with so many text styles and a messy looking text style panel. Thanks!

Hi, after the last update, the Buttom align or Justify vertically commands in the toolbar don't work anymore for text placed in tables. Am I missing something or is this a bug?
