I ran into the same problem today. I have a windows 10 system, up to date with all fixes and also the newst Affinity publisher release. I started a photo book and I have currently 452 linked files (photos or vector graphics). But now, I can't neither add a photo nor change one nor save my publisher document. All this with the error message 'Too many files open'). Why the discussion here stopped? Is there a solution? Thanks for any help!
