Okay, I reset to zero but it didn't change anything. Could it be more than one thing?

When I paste text into a text box, it sometimes appear as a narrow line (about 1-2 characters wide) on the right side of the text box, in green text. It happens with "insert filler text" as well. If I start a new document the feature works fine, until I do something on a second page, but I can't see any difference in the settings. I'm obviously missing something. I've googled this but can't find any suggestions that fit. Thanks!
